The "Smart" Dilemma

First convince yourself that this is the age of developing technology and the citizens of a developing nation like India is bound to fall prey to the adoption of the latest technology at the cheapest penny on their palms and pockets. Well thank God that ultimately the smart-revolution is here! People want to get smart everyday. OK, maybe not a smarter brain, not smarter working skills, not smarter ways of behaving, but people want "smart companions" of them. Rather, to be a bit harsh, people want smart machines to compensate their dumb brains.

But if we talk of real smartness, they are credited to human beings only. We are only trying very hard to get some "Artificial Intelligence" do our daily activities with appreciable ease. Maybe that's an important issue to appreciate. We are tremendously successful in communication (maybe tomorrow 5G will be announced in India). No prize for guessing the thickness of the next Iphone. No human drivers for the next generation. Appreciation and nothing else! We must wholeheartedly accredit today's engineers and scientists for these developments. A giant leap for mankind!

But is "smart-ifying" mankind the ultimate goal? Do we expect Earth to be a better place to thrive if everyone is having a smartphone in their hands, smartwatches fitted on their wrists? We can definitely expect a tech-savvy society within the next decade but what about the Nature?
