Kolkata is branded as one of the oldest cities of India and perhaps one of the fastest developing cities in India. And going by the heritage, there exists quite a number of points to term it omnipotent.

Kolkata boasts to have the largest science arena The Science City at its eastern part. As per statistics, Science City seems to have had 16,38,800 visitors visited till date. What can be more pleasurable than having a family tour to the centre on a lazy science-crazy Sunday!


Indian Museum at Kolkata's Dharmatala area is one of the earliest and largest versatile museum of  Asia. 

Medical College and Hospital, College St. was established as the first college of medicine in India. Now the college stands as one of the top centres of medicinal study in the eastern India.

Oh yes, Howrah Bridge, the Rabindra Setu is the most gifted heritage of Kolkata. Its the fifth largest cantilever bridge in the world and perhaps the lone in India. 

Kolkata Metro, one of Kolkata's pride. With rigorous development going on, the city is on its way to have under-river transport and above sea-level transport.

Howrah Railway Station is the busiest of all stations in India. With increasing facilities and increasing number of trains, Howrah Station is on its way on becoming the most handled-traffic-per-day station in the country.

Eden Gardens is regarded as the third largest cricket stadium globally. As per seating capacity and handling situations, Edens has been respected by being the host for international tournament finals.

While Kolkata is one of the most responsive city in terms of technology acceptance, it has not done away with its old, decaying cultures. Hand-pulled rickshaws and Trams still remain as a instiller of nostalgia among Indians and foreigners (Kolkata is the only city in India to have these two).
